Nate Bohman, CSW

Primary Therapist

Nate earned his Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) with a minor in Psychology from Utah State University, followed by his Master of Social Work (MSW) through USU's advanced standing program. During both his BSW and MSW internships at Bear River Mental Health, Nate gained experience first as a case manager-helping clients access resources, groups, and supports-and later as a therapist, where he discovered his passion for approaches such as ACT, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and EFT. His therapeutic style is eclectic, grounded in psychodynamic and developmental perspectives, and tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Nate has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and families, and is committed to creating a safe and supportive space where growth and healing can take place. He strives to be an ally to every client he works with, approaching therapy with curiosity, compassion, and openness. In addition, Nate is an affirming ally to the LGBTQ+ community, dedicated to ensuring queer youth and families feel understood, respected, and supported.
A native of Cache Valley, Nate enjoys spending time with his labradoodle, Auggie, as well as his family and friends. Outside of work, he can often be found playing Dungeons & Dragons, performing with local community theater groups, reading from his ever-growing book collection, or unwinding with the occasional video game.

"Teens and young adults who come to Uinta are pleasantly surprised that they live in a home in a residential neighborhood, that the mountains are right outside their door, and that they get to do all the normal things that teenagers like to do."
