Today, most, if not all, residential and wilderness treatment programs are state-licensed and have rigorous oversight by qualified medical professionals. These programs feature licensed mental health clinicians and offer trauma-informed, compassionate care and clinical modalities. Additionally, these programs hold accreditation from national associations dedicated to ensuring safety, quality, and effectiveness.

All residential programs in Utah must obtain a residential treatment license and comply with Rules R501-1, R501-14, R710-4, and R501-19.
