Melissa Burch

Yoga Teacher.

Melissa has been passionate about the yoga practice since her first class in 2006. After graduating from Bountiful High School in 2008, she moved to Logan to attend Utah State University, intending to become a marriage and family therapist. Once she received her bachelor’s degree in Family, Consumer, and Human Development from USU, she decided that teaching yoga was the perfect way to combine her two passions: yoga and therapy. She believes that an individual encompasses all the tools they need to change their life for the better, and strives to help others see this power through her teaching.

Melissa received her 200-hour Yoga Alliance teacher training certification in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and her 300-hour training here in the valley with Emily Perry.

Aside from yoga, Melissa loves cooking, traveling, the outdoors, skiing, weightlifting, spin class, thrifting, and spending time with her three girls and amazing, supportive husband. She is excited to continue her teaching and training and will forever remain a student of yoga.

"Teens and young adults who come to Uinta are pleasantly surprised that they live in a home in a residential neighborhood, that the mountains are right outside their door, and that they get to do all the normal things that teenagers like to do."
