Gabbie Matthews BS
Case Manager
Gabbie Matthews grew up in Idaho but has made Cache Valley her home since graduating from Utah State University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Education with a Minor in Animal Science from Utah State University. Gabbie taught in the public school system in Utah before coming to Uinta in the fall of 2018. Prior to being the case manager, Gabbie was the science teacher at Uinta. During her time here at Uinta, Gabbie has developed a great love for our program and the kids we work with. She believes that the skills the kids learn while here at Uinta are vital to their success in their daily lives. Gabbie comes from an agricultural background, which gives her a good foundation when working with the students and their horses. Through her experience as teacher, Gabbie has developed an understanding of the Teaching Family Model and consultants with the students to help them grow as they work through their therapeutic process.

"Teens and young adults who come to Uinta are pleasantly surprised that they live in a home in a residential neighborhood, that the mountains are right outside their door, and that they get to do all the normal things that teenagers like to do."
