Austin Petit
Science Teacher.
Austin earned his BS degree in Biochemistry and MS degree in Chemistry from Idaho State University before working for large food manufacturing companies in various food science and food safety roles.
After about 17 years In the field, Austin decided to change careers and move into a life-long passion of teaching by earning his MA degree in Secondary Science teaching from Western Governor's University. He loves science and really enjoys helping students break through challenging concepts in the field.
In his free time, Austin loves playing disc golf, playing guitar, and running.
"Teens and young adults who come to Uinta are pleasantly surprised that they live in a home in a residential neighborhood, that the mountains are right outside their door, and that they get to do all the normal things that teenagers like to do."
